The challenge
Volcora, working with a restaurant technology provider, needed a secure way to mount the ID TECH VP3350 alongside its POS hardware. The original requirement seemed straightforward: create a mount compatible with Volcora's single-screen 15" and 15.6" POS systems.
But the design had to meet several requirements at once, all without compromising functionality or accessibility:
- Maintain full access to the magstripe swipe path
- Ensure proper cable clearance
- Keep the payment terminal secure and stable
- Preserve a clean, professional customer-facing checkout experience
The opportunity
As DCCSupply began engineering the solution, the scope changed. Before the design was finalized, Volcora shifted from a single-screen setup to a dual-screen configuration.
Rather than treat it as a setback, DCCSupply adapted. Instead of designing for one environment, the team expanded the solution to work across all Volcora POS configurations, both single-screen and dual-screen systems. That gave Volcora a future-ready mounting solution instead of a one-off product.
The solution
DCCSupply engineered a custom key-locking VESA mount for the ID TECH VP3350, purpose-built for the Volcora ecosystem. Key design features included:
- Side cutout for cable clearance
- Preserved magstripe swipe access
- Secure key-locking functionality
- Universal compatibility across Volcora single- and dual-screen POS systems
- Clean integration with the existing POS footprint
By expanding compatibility during development, DCCSupply eliminated the need for multiple mounting SKUs and simplified future deployments. The result was a streamlined hardware setup that let merchants use the VP3350's full payment capabilities while preserving counter space and keeping a consistent checkout experience.

The rollout
Once the design was finalized, the restaurant technology provider placed an initial order for 25 custom mounts. The solution became part of Volcora's accessory offering and was added directly to their website as an approved hardware add-on.
It also created a partnership opportunity: Volcora promoted the mount as part of its POS ecosystem, DCCSupply received a backlink placement under Volcora's accessories section, and ID TECH gained an integrated mounting option for the VP3350.
